Heavy metal gold mine s+pill turns river into toxic sludge

USA Today - Officials from the Environmental Protection Agency said the Gold King Mine's discharge of an estimated 3 million gallons of contaminated water into the Animas River raises the possibility of long-term damage from the toxic metals falling out of suspension as the plume slowly moved along the river.  Read more.
