Senate Accepts Deal to Kick Formerly Incarcerated Off Food Benefits

ColorLines - Yesterday, Sen. Vitter of Louisiana offered up an amendment to permanently drop anyone ever convicted of a violent crime from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
