Miss England Pageant Replaces Swimsuit Competition With Sports Challenge

Stylelist - Looks like you're going to have a harder time convincing your boyfriend to watch the Miss England pageant this year.

In a groundbreaking move, the Miss England pageant will skip the traditional swimsuit competition in favor of a sports challenge, the Telegraph reports.

(Buh, but what's supposed to happen to all that spray tan, body oil and duct tape?)

It's all reportedly the handiwork of 2009 Miss England Katrina Hodge, a 22-year-old soldier who has been dubbed Combat Barbie.

"I think it's nerve-racking enough for girls to get up on a stage and speak, let alone appear in a swimsuit," said Hodge, who reportedly once won a commendation for disarming a suspected rebel fighter with her bare hands.

"It's good the girls are being given a sports challenge in this year's competition." Read more.
