‘American occupation should be blamed for the rise of ISIS’ says Russian Envoy to UN

Russia’s ambassador to the United Nations, Vitaly Churkin, dismissed the US claims accusing Bashar Assad’s regime for the rise of Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL). Islamic State's rise goes back to the US-led intervention in Iraq, he said.  Read more.

Every autumn, Victorians swarmed into the woods to collect ferns. From the 1850s until Queen Victoria’s demise, pteridomania (meaning “fern mania”) engulfed Victorians on both sides of the Atlantic.
