Pullman museum to honor ‘warriors’ during Black History Month

When U.S. Rep. Danny Davis chose not to attend the Jan. 20 inauguration of President Donald Trump, he says he was “representing my constituents.”

“I have a great deal of respect for the government of our country, even some of the progress that we have made, but I got a whole bunch of phone calls from constituents telling me what they wanted me to do, and 95 of 100 calls said, ‘Don’t go,’ ” says Davis, a recipient of this year’s Gentle Warrior Award from the National A.
