London's Violent Spectacle: What is to be Gained by Calling it Terror?

More than offering some definitive truth to a situation, the use of language conditions what is further possible. The decision therefore to label the horrifying spectacle of violence witnessed on the streets of Woolwich in South London Wednesday as a "Terror Attack" will have consequences.
