It’s Time for a New—and Real—Populist Uprising

Buffalo News - Imagine this: Americans are frustrated by taxation policies that they consider to be unfair. They scoff at politicians who are either corrupted or uncaring. They demand a drastic fiscal policy change to address serious shortcomings in the economy.

This is not the story of recent American political history. It’s the 1890s.

In that decade from long ago, the Populist Party (also known as the People's Party) emerged as a viable alternative to the two main parties, which seemed to be ignoring the difficulties of average Americans.  Read more.
